WhatsApp Introduces New Camera Features on Android

WhatsApp announced the launch of several new camera features in its Android application.
First, new photo- and video-editing tools allow users to add emoji, drawings and text to their images and videos before sharing them with friends. When adding text, users have the option to change the text’s color and font style.

Elsewhere, the WhatsApp camera now supports front-facing flash for taking better pictures in low light and at night.
Finally, when recording videos, users can now slide their fingers up and down to zoom in and out. Users can also double-tap on the screen to quickly switch between the front- and rear-facing cameras on their devices.
WhatsApp said these new camera features are now rolling out on Android devices, and that they will come to iPhone soon.
