General Electric (GE), a multinational conglomerate is re-launching its skills training program, GE Lagos Garage this November. Following the announcement of the GE Lagos Garage, applicants can now enter for the 4 weeks program in Lagos.
GE created the Garages program in 2012 to reinvigorate America’s interest in invention, innovation, and manufacturing. In 2014, Garages went global with three weeks of workshops amidst a fully equipped fabrication lab in Lagos, Nigeria, at GE’s regional headquarters.
This year 2016, GE is expanding on past successes by evolving the program into four weeks dedicated to accelerating the impact of Nigeria’s most promising entrepreneurs. Working with a variety of world-class instructors, investors, technical experts and partners, participants will build a culture of collaboration and innovation and bring their wildest ideas to life.
GE Lagos Garage is a training program and incubator that teaches people how to manufacture products using 3D printers. The program also provides knowledge on how to build a business that sells 3D printed products. GE Lagos Garage is a four-week program that’s dedicated to accelerating the impact of Nigeria’s most promising entrepreneurs.
The program’s select participants will directly interact with the latest manufacturing technologies — including 3D printers and laser cutters — that enable innovation through rapid prototyping, which will transform Nigerian industries.
The Garage also provides access to advanced hardware and mentorship network, supporting entrepreneurship with an aim to drive growth across all sectors of industry. This year’s program is managed by NeuBridges.

Venue: GE Nigeria Headquarters, Mansard Place –- 3rd Floor, Plot 927/928, Bishop Aboyade Cole Street, Victoria Island.
To apply for GE Lagos Garage 2016, you need to fill this application form. The deadline is midnight November 1, 2016. The training program runs for 4 weeks in the evenings and there is no fee for the application or the program.
