Did you know that Windows 10 has its own hidden GodMode, a cheat that gives you, well, god-like powers while you're on your desktop PCs/laptops? Ok, we exaggerated that a bit, maybe just a little.
But, wait, that 'hidden' GodMode part is real and it does give you some powers. It won't exactly make you god, but hey, it's still crazy fun.
Of course, those who play video games know what GodMode is. It's basically a trick (a cheap one at that) that lets you cheat your way through the game. It may be in the form of unlimited lives, unlimited gold or whatever. But, it's really cool and so much fun.
Windows 10 (just like Windows 7, and Windows 8) also has a hidden GodMode that you can unearth and have total (well, almost) control over your system.
Here's how you do it...remember, this is for Windows 10 and Windows 10 alone and is version and platform independent...
-- Go to desktop and create a 'new' folder.
-- Rename it to the text string GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
-- Note that you can replace the text GodMode with anything you feel like, just that GodMode sounds so much cooler.
-- The {ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} extension however stays as it is.
-- That's it. Feel like god already?
Ok, you didn't, sorry to burst your bubble but it still gives you access all of your operating system's control panels from within a single folder, doesn't it? Isn't that cool enough?
Once you've renamed the folder, its icon will instantly change to resemble a control panel containing dozens of control options inside.
Moreover, the trick applies to Windows 8.1 as well.
If you're on Windows 7, the same trick applies however with a different extension. For Windows 7, renaming the folder to GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} does the trick. Note that, this also applies for Windows Vista users.
So, there you have it. Anybody on Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or the recently launched Windows 10 can play god.
Make sure you tell us the number of control options you unlock in our comments section.
