Facebook, Messenger and Instagram gets a unified inbox

Social media managers responsible for their company’s Facebook and Instagram pages will have their work streamlined soon. Facebook has announced that it will be introducing a unified inbox for its Pages Manager mobile app.

This unified inbox will allow you to link up your organization’s Facebook page, Messenger and Instagram page on the Pages Manager app.
Once linked, the inbox can receive notifications from all three platforms, allowing the user to monitor activity across all three platforms on one same app.
Interactions can also be done via the Pages Manager app itself. A user can respond to Facebook comments, messages and Instagram comments directly from the inbox by tapping on the appropriate content.
Additionally, this unified inbox will also provide the user with basic information about the person interacting with your business. Tapping on the person’s name will bring up their publicly available profile, as well as any previous interactions with the business.

The inbox, which can be accessed by tapping the messaging icon at the bottom of your Page in Pages Manager, features a tabbed interface for Facebook comments, visitor posts, reviews, messages, and Instagram comments. It also allows you to view basic profile information about people who contact you.
That should help make it easier for people who promote their brands through Facebook’s social networks. You’ll be able to try it in the coming weeks as it rolls out to Pages Manager on Android and iOS; Facebook says it will eventually arrive on other devices too.
